Brushing

It should help you prevent plaque from clogging in your teeth as well as preventing your teeth from tooth decay. You shouldn’t exert excessive pressure on your teeth! Tilt the brush at a 45 degree angle being careful to brush all corners of your teeth. The brush movement should be gentle and made in a circular up and down motion. If unable to make a circular motion, you may gentle brush in a up and down motion.

Brushing your teeth in the evening is important for your dental hygiene and something that should be done after meals. Dr. Kezian and staff would advise you not to take any additional food after brushing your teeth as this can accelerate tooth decay.

Flossing

??????????????Flossing is a mandatory part of any effective dental care routine and as important as tooth brushing. It is a fast and effective way to keep your teeth clean and healthy. To be more effective, it should be done at the end of the day, just when you are about to go to bed. Flossing is helpful in removing plague and any other food particles that your brushing is not able to remove.

The floss you use should be clean – You don’t want contaminate your teeth with a dirty piece of floss. Be careful to floss between every tooth and to the gums. The floss material you use should be long enough to reach these places – preferably 15 inches! Rinsing

Your smile is important and reflects the health of your teeth. You do not have to spend too much on a mouthwash – A simple ADA-approved tooth care product is sufficient enough.
