Maybe you’re just trying to change the dentist you’re with now because your insurance changed? You may be having an emergency and need to find a good dentist right away. Nothing beats a good, ol’ Google search. This is one of the easiest ways you can find a dentist. All you have to do is type in “dentist near me” in the search bar or even in Google maps and you’ll be left with hundreds of options to choose from. To help you sort out who is best though, there are different steps you might need to take.

Yelp is one of the best ways you can sort out your list of dentists. You can check patient reviews and recommendations to help you decide which dentist works best for your specific needs. For example, you may find 4 or 5 different dentists that all fit to your liking. To help you decide further, you can check Yelp reviews for those dentists and can possibly narrow your results to two dentists.

Google+ Reviews

Following these reviews would give you insight on how the dentist handles patient cases, what type of cost you would be looking at, or even how clean the office is. Patients who leave Google+ reviews, or any reviews online for that matter, tend to be internet savvy patients who note everything you would need to know about where you’re going.

City Search has been around for a while. Being that it was founded in 1995, you can find reviews on city search for almost any dentist. Depending on what type of dentist you are looking for, it may be a good idea to check their reviews on city search too. Getting as many reviews as possible will help you make up your mind faster.

With emergencies though, you don’t have the same amount of time to check all the different websites to pick the best dentist. With emergencies, you would need to focus on specific keywords like “24 hour”, “emergency appointment”, or “open now”. These keywords would help you find a dentist that will be open at the time you need them or will be able to take you in and get you out of pain.
