It is that time of year again … time to celebrate the anniversary of Larchmont’s Free Little Library! This year marks the 6th year that the library is standing and the community, along with everyone at Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS, couldn’t be happier to still see it blossoming.
We first opened the door to this little library in mid 2013. From the moment that first book entered the library, there has been a non-stop rotation of thousands of different books! You can find books of almost every genre, fit for almost any age. If you’re into dramas and thrillers, we have books you’ll like, if you’re into cooking or architecture, we have those categories covered as well. For those who are health conscientious or those who are looking for a little romance novel, we have books of those genres too. For your children, we have children’s’ books with bright colors and great stories. Sometimes you’ll even find some activity books in there! Simply put, everyone can find an interesting read here at the Little Free Library.
Dr. Arthur A. Kezian was the mastermind behind the library and it is wonderful to see a dentist involved in something bigger than just his office – with the library, Dr. Kezian is involved in his entire community. He and the entire staff meet some great people from Larchmont who make contributions to the library; because of that, the staff stops to thank them and converse. Amongst the conversations, some great relationships are formed, something that would not have taken place if it were not for the library bringing the community together.
This year, the Kezian staff has amped up the beautiful library by putting in even more books than before and decorating the library with big blue and yellow toned balloons (because let’s face it, once a UCLA fan, always a UCLA fan). The library was built with the best intentions in mind – bringing a community of avid readers together. Additionally, Dr. Kezian had added an even better touch to the library by placing a bench next to it. This way, you could grab a nice coffee from down the block, head over to the library, grab yourself a book you like, and enjoy the reading on the bench overlooking Larchmont’s peaceful and beautiful streets. After adding the bench to the picture, Dr. Kezian also placed a doggy station next to the library for all the Larchmont pups. If you happen to be walking your dog, you can stop by and give him or her a nice drink of water or even a snack! As a bonus, Dr. Kezian even added doggy waste bags for your convenience. If you stop by the Little Free Library, make sure to drop in and say hello to Dr. Kezian and his staff. They would love to share a few words and a few smiles.
The Little Free Library even has a Yelp page now and you can find some great pictures of the library there. Many reviewers love the idea of the library being in the community. Even more so, they love that it is something even their children can enjoy. One reviewer writes, about getting to the library, “When we arrived we were enchanted by the miniature house holding the books. It holds a nice variety of books for kids, even for teenagers! Actually it offers books to all ages but we were excited about the fact that there were books for teens!” Another reviewer goes on to mention, “It's really great to see the community, or more so the Dr. who took the initiative to begin this. I will begin using it more often as well as leaving some books of mine…”
Dr. Kezian might spend some of his free time building community accommodations, but he is still a dentist first, and his passion grows for it more and more each day. Dr. Kezian has been practicing at this dental office for over 30 years and specializes in numerous dental cases, including but not limited to, cosmetic dentistry, general dentistry, emergency dentistry, root canal therapy, dental implants, porcelain crowns, porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, teeth cleaning, broken tooth, chipped tooth, cracked tooth, dental extraction, wisdom tooth extraction, dental surgery, gum surgery, and TMJ disorder.
When you step into Dr. Kezian’s office, you will be greeted by some warm smiles and kind words. The atmosphere at the office is very relaxing, even for a dental office. It is a small home in a town-like community and presents a cozy feeling. Dr. Kezian and his staff can help make even the most nervous patients feel at ease. They are extremely thorough in everything they do and explain procedures in details so their patients know what to expect. On an additional note, the doctors at the office focus on the concept of painless injections. They offer a numbing gel before the injection and use different techniques to make the process go smoother for their patients.
Dr. Arthur A. Kezian graduated with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry in 1979 from UCLA and also did part-time teaching as an assistant in their chemistry department. A few years later, in 1983, Dr. Kezian graduated UCLA’s Dental School and went on to become the successful dentist he is today. Up until today, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Los Angeles Dental Society. He is also a member and sponsor of the Dugoni Pacific School of Dentistry. Among all of these, he is also involved in PIA Implant Group, Nobel Implant Corp, Straumann Implant Corp, and the Hiossen Implant Corp.
