Larchmont Little Free Library - Four Years and Going Strong!
It’s been four years since we’ve opened our Little Free Library on the corner of Larchmont Blvd. and Rosewood Ave. and we’re so excited to say the library is still
one of Larchmont’s most visited areas. The idea of bringing the community together through the power of books was commenced by Los Angeles Dentist, Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS. He has had his dental office in Larchmont Village for over 34 years now. He is involved with the community in so many ways and building a free library for his local community members was just another way he impacted the community. Although the idea was sparked by him, the project would not be successful without locals from Larchmont and visitors alike.
Every day we notice a new book in the library and appreciate that someone took the time out of their day to bring it over. We’ve also had donations by the dozen and even boxes full of books that were dropped off by some lovely people. Each one is thankful for the fact that the library exists and we are thankful for their contributions. It’s moments like this that help bring the community together and we hope to see this involvement for years to come.
We hope to see the strength of this community live on. Maybe someday down the line, when the office has changed, and Larchmont has changed, the library can still be standing and a new generation can take part in continuing community support.
The office is always happy to receive more books. For anyone that would like to make a donation, please call us at (323) 467-2777. Our staff is available to pick-up the books from you for your convenience!

Celebrating the One-year anniversary of our Larchmont Little Free Library
For Immediate Press Release
Los Angeles : May 27 2014
One-year anniversary of our Larchmont Little Free Library
This month marks the one-year anniversary of our Little Free Library, https://www.drkezian.com/littlefreelibrary.php , since we first debuted it back in May of 2013. Over 4,000 books have traveled through ourLittle Free Library thanks to the dedication and tremendous efforts of our staff and community members, who have embraced this project as if it were their own personal library at home.
We have books from all different genres: children’s books, mystery novels, biographies, historical fiction, romance novels, sports, fashion, decorating and food related books for all ages and interests.
When we asked the Free Little Library coordinator, Lily, about maintaining the inventory in the library, she responded how considerate everyone in the community has been, how the books are always kept in nice order, and how people respect and keep the library clean and neat.
During our interview with the Little Free Library maintenance director Francisco Alamilla, he informed us that we had a slight irrigation problem that caused the roof of the library to get wet and a few precious books to get damaged. Francisco quickly restored and re-sealed the roof, and now that the roofing problem has been addressed, we are eager to continue into the winter season.
One of our clients called our office and asked us to mail her a library membership card, and we gave her the good news that ‘this is the only library where you don’t need a membership card, it's completely based on the honor system.’
Thank you to all of those who have ‘paid it forward’ by donating books -Providing the gift of reading to our community has been a truly rewarding experience. We look forward to seeing you browsing through our wonderful selection of books – Come check out some of the great new donations we've recently received!
Celebrating the Little Free Library of the Larchmont Community
Larchmont Little Free Library #6546
What started out as a simple idea and desire to give back to the community flourished into an actuality and has became a great success thanks to Dr. Kezian and his assistant Francisco for their design and construction and to our lovely Dental Assistant Lily for the clever artwork and illustrations.
In a short span of three weeks after its debut on May 13th of 2013 we’ve already had 400 books pass through our Little Free Library with the contribution of our staff members and the participation of over 40 community members. It gives us great pleasure to be able to pass the written word to others and provide the gift of reading – There is nothing more satisfying than being able to “pay it forward.”
The Little Free Library runs on an honor system based on the simple concept: “Take a book, bring a book.” We are gladly accepting any books, educational pamphlets, craft books and magazines that you may have.
Come on down and browse our collection, it’s brimming with an eclectic selection varying from children’s books to classic novels, autobiographies, magazines, puzzles and more – Something for every kind of borrower! There is a bench provided for your reading pleasure.
We are overjoyed from the outpouring positive response and support from the Larchmont Community – It has made the love, great thought and attention we’ve put into this project worth while. Thank you so much for your participation. Our mission is to foster goodwill and build community, promote literacy and the love of reading one book and smile at a time!
